  • Subjects listed include English, Spelling, Handwriting, Arithmetic, Social Studies (History & Civics, Geography), and Health & Safety.
  • Grades are primarily C's, with some B's, D's, and F's visible.
What were your grades like? What was your favorite subject?

yep... I still have my last leaving cetificate results..

I was pretty average at school in most things... I excelled in just 2 subjects.. Business economics, and Social studies... I always passed English with flying colours ...but not Physics, or Chemistry, Biology or Art.. all of which I hated...

I hated Geography... but today because I've travelled to many places, lived in several countries, geography is one of my favourite subjects now...

Oddly enough. I've found something similar, but in my case it's History. I gave up the subject of History at the end of my third year at secondary school because it was so booooorrrrrrriinnngg!

However, when I went to university as a mature student at the age of 25, I did History as my degree subject.

I sure do and when we got to the end of 6th grade we got all our report cards. I sorta would love to see those again. I don't recall a favorite subject, probably art. Mostly I remember once the week got to Tuesday it was only 2 days till Thursday, and just one more till Friday. I remember watching the clock a lot too.

I had handwritten cards up until 7th grade and then they were produced by the computer and sent home. Gramps and Grandna would see it before me because the mail went about 11 in the morning. It would be sitting on the table and signed when I got home. We received 2 copies. One copy went back to the high school.

Report cards were all handwritten and transcripts typewritten. No computers yet. In elementary school my two bad grades were always the same: deportment (talking in class, not sitting still, fighting bullies) and handwriting.

I had handwritten report cards, too.. except the schools I attended gave number grades instead of letter grades.
