With this Corona Virus show no signs of slowing down, Self Monitoring is increasingly important. One of the early signs of contamination seems to be the "Oxygen Saturation level", This can be monitored easily with a Pulse Oximeter....there are dozens for sale at a reasonable price at sites such as Amazon or Walmart.com, etc. I ordered one for us a few days ago, and it arrived today. It works, and our "numbers" are in the acceptable range....but we will test ourselves regularly for the foreseeable future. I would suggest that anyone concerned about this virus should get one.

Thanks Don...just ordered the same one from Walmart for the future....I don't have any heart, lung or blood pressure issues but will have more peace of mind if I suspect having any symptoms from the covid as a possibility....
 
I got one a few weeks ago and my numbers have all been excellent except for one incident.
I carried it with me when I went on my neighborhood walk because I was curious where my heartrate went when I did my fast climb up a moderately sloped 1/4 mile hill. Well, my heartrate went to 121 which is close to my cardio max, but my oxygen saturation level went down to 92 for about a minute at the top of the hill. I did expect a drop, and it came right back up fairly quickly. I found that to be interesting and proof that I was working hard.
 
Really a nice little device to have. I got mine on Amazon and keep it handy with the BP cuff I use weekly.
