Hang in there.... Its just another day

I offer this very short post

to those

having a bad day

whether because of

work, significant other, finances or health

remember

you are not alone!

You should take solace

in the fact that this old curmudgeon

has had a miserable 24 hours

with my toaster oven dying

another gout attack

a 3am wake up call from pain

a 4am wake up call from diarrhea

presently 78 degrees outside

….and yet I know

there are people far worse off than you & I

so like we all should do

I dig in

and wait for the cloud to pass.

Hi Pete, nice to hear from you!!!

Your post made me smile, reminded me of the old comic strip character Joe Btfsplk from lil' Abner.

Hope things turn around for you soon!!!

Hi Pete, and thanks for the post. Not the greatest day for me either. One thing we know is we're not alone in this.

Hope tomorrow is better/QUOTE]
Thanks Wren I was just using my day as an example of how even though we may think our world is crashing down around us there are many others who have things far worse off than we do. Today my gout is completely gone (for now), and am waiting to see if the storm alert for Dallas will produce any tornadoes...see what I mean about things that can get worse.

Your post made me smile,
Exactly my intent.... we should be able to look back and see the irony.
Like I am today with my gout eliminated for the time being but waking up to a chance of severe weather (aka tornado/hail) here in the Dallas area.

Ruthanne we may at times be physically alone
but when suffering we are surrounded by others.

Must be something in the air......

Oh I could use your words this morning because I woke up by the weather alert on my radio....
if its not one thing its another and we just roll with the punches as we walk down life's road.

If you could have visited my cabin in Alaska you would have been greeted at the front door with those four letters SSDD on it. One tends (especially when a bit older and limited in mobility) to take the path of least resistance and I have found that for me this is a recurring theme day after day. I don't know if this is a good thing only that it is and thus the SSDD lifestyle. I do see what you are getting at by the second photo titled 'Life' but once one is stuck in the SSDD lifestyle for years it is hard to change... even now living in civilization one would think there are a myriad of things to do but none matches the life I have known and loved.

Glad your gout is gone Pete. My husband suffered so when he had attacks! You're so right about others being far worse off than we are. It's humbling and calls up appreciation for what we do have.
