Happy Father's Day & Grandfathers & Great Grandfathers

For those of you that still have your father alive, please honor him and tell him you love him. I wish I could still do that.
My dad was the best. I don't know what he could have done to make my life any better, including saving my life one time.

Dad: If you are reading this, I love you and will never forget you.

"May all fathers be appreciated, valued, and loved. In the name of Jesus I come against every spirit of discouragement, frustration, and fatigue which is trying to sabotage them and I command these burdens to leave them right now. I pray that you heal them from any past hurts or regrets that may interfere with their parenting.

Release them from any guilt they may be holding onto, and mistakes they have made. Keep them in health and protect them against sickness and disease. May your grace and goodness fill their lives providing for every need, and blessing them with a long and satisfying life full of purpose and significance. In Jesus name I pray. Amen"

Try to "butter Dad up", by giving him "Pancake ties"!:geek:

Not a father so odviously not a Grandfather but yesterday I paused to think what the 8 lucky Fathers and/or Grandfathers were feeling as they got to take a ride in the Avro Lancaster Bomber that flew over my house as it does on weekends thoughout the summer & into early fall.

Some thoughfull person in those families planned ahead by 3 or 4 years and booked their loved one to fly in the Lancaster on Father's day! It's not cheap either; $3,500.00 per person to go up in a historic warplane for about an hour or so. It can only take 4 passengers plus the crew.

It's always a special moment when I'm in the backyard on a Sat. or Sunday and I hear it coming. You hear that distinctive sound well before you can see it and well after it's gone out of sight. The sound is like no other plane - loud; menacing actually! I can't imaging what the Germans thought during WWII when a fleet of these large bombers flew overhead loaded with hi-powered, destructive bombs 😱

What a thrill it must be to ride in it 🤩

It's one of only two Lancaster Bombers still airworthy in the entire world and the one housed at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton Ontario, Canada is the only one in the world to offer passenger tours during summer/fall months. You have to book a year or two in advance to get a spot and I imagine it's several years in advance for a spot on Fathers Day.
