We don't bother with these things here. I doubt if our family know it's Mothers day. Just another day in the village.
It's Mothering Sunday HERE in the UK Capt lightening, not the USA...:D wonder if any flowers will be getting delivered today not sure if florists are under the curfew... I suspect Garden centres must be surely because social distancing can't be implemented there but I'm not sure...

Well as my daughter lives in Spain and she can't get anything sent to me, she's sent me not only a beautiful electronic card.. designed by her, she also called this morning and she's sent me virtual flowers, photographs she's taken from her own land....🥰

Well, right or wrong, we always referred to it as Mothers' day and whatever it's called, we've never celebrated it. It was different in my parents' day when mother would have expected something. To all who do celebrate, best wishes for a happy, healthy day.

And while we're getting the name correct, it's Lightning, not Lightening :):).

sorry I made a slight spelling mistake in your name, let's hope no-one with dyslexia will have to type it ...

Don't worry Hollydolly, more people get it wrong than right! My real surname has only 4 letters but I've seen some weird spellings, and when it comes to the road where I live, that really confuses a lot of people.

When I lived in Hampshire, I always had to spell my surname because it was uncommon there. Then I went to work on a project in Edinburgh and on the first day I introduced myself as Mr. **** , that's * * * *. The receptionist looked up and said "We know how to spell in Edinburgh" :ROFLMAO:

Well you threw me off a bit because we celebrate Mother's Day in May. But for those of you who celebrate it now:
