Happy Veterans Day - November 11th

Yesterday, 11/10, was the U.S. Marines anniversary. I believe it was our 248th anniversary. I don’t know if they had anything planned at Quantico or not. Usually, I get a notice from the Corpse when an event is going to take place, but I didn’t get anything in the mail or email about the band or any other event taking place.

"Happy " ? Not here in Canada. It is a national day of solemn reflection and sorrow. At 11 AM in cities and towns across Canada, people will stand silent and still for 2 minutes to honor our fallen war dead. No happy in that at all.
BTW, I served in the CAF reserve for 8 years as a young man, but I don't broadcast the fact. Once a year, on November the 11th, I attend the cenotaph service of my old unit, here in Toronto. Jimb.
