For anyone who worried about them being homeless, and living a hard life in the states ...

the 14.5 million dollar mansion they just purchased on the West Coast, north of LA.

Almost half of what he inherited from his mom. His father is only obliged to keep his allowance up for one year.

Hmmmm........the poor lambs!!

How on earth are they going to manage without the footmen, the butlers, the upstairs maids, the downstairs maids, the personal valets, the chauffeurs, the doormen, the fella that stands in the hall with the suit of armour on, the ladies in waiting, and impatient ladies who won't wait too.......I really do feel for them.......poor lambs.

From the article you linked:
Tour boats routinely claim the 1983 Al Pacino gangster film was made in the white waterfront manse.
In fact, the movie was filmed across the country, in this 1906 mansion in Santa Barbara. The real ā€œScarface Houseā€ is for sale for $35 million.
Good catch @Barbiegirl! I obviously didn't read the article thoroughly and stand corrected.

However, since the house H & M just purchased wasn't built until 2003 and Scarface was filmed in 1983, this wouldn't have been the house that hosted that filming. (Plus the Scarface mansion was reportedly built in 1906.)

D'oh! I finally clued in: the guy who they bought this mansion from also owned the Scarface mansion in SB. Same guy, same area, different mansions. For the record, I have owned and sold exactly zero mansions. :D

Makes me proud to be Canadian.

We made it loud and clear (at the time these two wanted to call Canada their home) that we were NOT interested in paying for their security, and rightfully so, seeing how they live.

If I remember correctly, our words to them were... "welcome to our country Canada, and you can pay your own way".

Guess the couple didn't like the cold reception they received. Good!

I have zero love for royalty.

GR to them!
