Has anyone bought a bed in a box?

We need a new mattress. I'm embarrassed to say,but the one we have was the one we purchased when we were married. It really belongs in the Smithsonian Institute. Some people have been really happy with these types of mattresses. Some companies have free shipping both ways,and quite a long tryout period. Have you tried a bed in a box? Are you happy with it and what brand did you purchase? I don't like memory foam. I had a pillow made of it and I found it to get as hard as a brick and very hot in the summer.

We bought one from Amazon a few years ago for our motorhome. It's OK but I wouldn't want to sleep on it every night. It is not a name brand, and was only about $500 for a king size. Most of the better brands seem to have very good reviews, though.
