Has Anyone Considered Purchasing Shares of Nvidia? It Briefly Topped Microsoft....

...as the most valuable public company. A good friend of one of my good friends bought early on and has literally made millions on this stock. Recently he was telling my friend about it. Someone told me about Nvidia and it's (then) upcoming split about a month and a half ago, but I'm skittish about buying individual stocks, so held off. Then my honorary son and I had a conversation about it a couple of days ago. . After the split, I decided to start with 25 shares and may consider buying more at some point. I don't expect to get rich off my purchase(s). Nvidia tops Microsoft as the most valuable public company

I don't own any and don't plan to now. I wish I had bought some pre COVID. Their graphic cards were hard to find at that time because many were being bought out for crypto mining.
 
I think it may be "too late for the party". I certainly could be wrong, but often when a stock garners all that publicity, its on its last hurrah! Said another way, the smart money has been in it since the early times.
 
No. If I did buy Nvidia, it would be a signal for the rest of you to take short positions on the stock.

I only do total market index funds.
