Have you had, or know someone...who has Peripheral artery disease?

I have not been 'diagnosed' yet...but with some research fear this is my condition. Right leg is getting worse every day, and shortly I doubt I'll be able to walk.

My cardiac appointment is two months away. Can I wait this long?

Was diagnosed with this a couple of years ago in my left leg. Saw a specialist and his advice was to keep walking - rest when the pain became too bad, then resume walking again. It did work - took a few months, but now I seem to have no pain in that leg.

I have the pulses taken in my legs every year now, and the latest results show that the left leg is almost as good as the right, which had no problems.

A physio told me that just flipping my feet up and down would be effective too if I didn't feel like walking, so sometimes I do that. Need to do it for about 10 minutes for it to be effective.

If you are doing internet research, it can be scary!!

Silver, Jo, Ken....thanks for your input.
The leg is looking (and feeling) worse. Even pain without activity.

I have a new appointment with my cardiologist for this Friday at 4:00.
Will fill you in then on the results.
