Has anyone made a fence out of wooden pallets? What else have you made using pallets?

Thinking of making a garden fence out of wooden pallets, looks fairly easy. Has anyone done this? Did you sand them down? Did you pain’t them?

Think my cousin made an end table out of pallets,,looked good.

Would think it would be like you would be using regular lumber.

Decide how tall you want the fence.
Are you planing on separating the pallets ?

If not you would still need stabilizing To hold them up, end pieces.

Hard to explain how I might do it with out drawing pictures.

There's so much you can do with old pallets, this year I'm going to attempt to make a couch and chair, and coffee table of the pool area... You can also make some pretty cool wine bottle holders, or coat rack... and I have seen the fences @Aneeda72... I've seen them put up as is and have seen them with a wood sealer, and painted... think it depends on what you like...

@mike4lorie I am going to paint them blue to match my shed 😄. Do I have to sand them and then paint them? None of the sites I looked at said anything about sealing them.

I think I can hold them up with rebar behind them and use a plastic tie. I want a cheap but nice looking way to keep the dogs out of my garden

I have a 4 pallets that the roof shingles were delivered on a couple of years ago, when we had a new roof put on the house. I've mulled over several uses for them, but the wood is hardly worth doing anything with....so I just have them laying behind my workshop, and pile some stuff on them that I don't want left on the bare ground.

If you want to keep animals out of your garden, I found a device that works great. I don't have any barriers around my garden, and we have gobs of deer around, and this neat little motion sensor sprinkler keeps them at bay, nicely.

The trick is not how many pallets you have, it’s what can you make out of them.
