Have the remains of Brian Laundrie been found?

Searchers have found a partial human body in the area they were searching for Brian. There was a backpack and some items that may have been Mr Laundries/ The area is now taped off and there's supposed to be a press conference in about 10 minutes. This area was formerly underwater but now that the waters have receded, they went back again and found remains.

Reserving judgement till the authorities make positive ID. i read and watch too many mystery/crime things and see other possibilities. Personally i'll believe it if/when they match DNA (you can get it from bone marrow i believe) to his family or to items then already confiscated, like toothbrush) that would have his DNA on them.

Not so sure i 'want' it to be him. Then we will never get more details on what happened to his fiance, and if he was responsible (as i think he was) he would have to stand trial for it, hopefully with enough evidence to convict. While trials and even convictions can't bring a deceased loved one back and don't even provide the 'closure' many think they will, they can provide satisfaction in knowing the responsible person is facing consequences for their actions.

It was interesting to me that his parents led investigators to the area where the body part and his things were found.
Yeah, the parents are desperate.
Read somewhere the body part was a toe.
Wouldn't put it past the parents and Brian to clip off his little toe and plant it.
Gators ate Brian.....end of story.
And the mother brought a backpack....why?...lunch?

Heh, authorities have been combing that area for weeks.
Took the parents, what, a couple hours?

They're not the brightest crayons in the box

Even if those items are confirmed to have been his,
I will not assume that the partial human remains will also be his.

Nor am I certain the items would have been left there by him, (possibly could have been put there by his parents or someone else, as a decoy) or I also think, for now, that if he himself left them, it might not have been done within the timeframe of his recent "disappearance." He might have left them there sometime earlier, and then gone elsewhere, to "get lost."

I will wait for absolute confirmation that any human remains are his, if they are, before guessing or concluding about any of my preliminary guesses.
It seems that other people might have been there and been hurt, at some time. Or it could possibly be him.

I just heard. The remains are Brian Laundrie. What a tragedy this has all been.
Hmmm...I heard they found human remains near some of his belongings but no identification yet because only a small part of a body was found which will complicate those efforts.

They found skeletal remains including his head. He was ID'd through dental records. Case closed. How sad for all the relatives on both sides. :(
