Have you ever been "set up" for a date?

I was. Twice. Both times she didn't know she being set up either. Both were nice, pretty women, but with in 3.5 seconds; we knew we weren't an "item". Our eager friends expected us to tell them, we just got married and she was pregnant. You know-no pressure or anything. Both were awkward situations. We never saw each other again. Anybody, who was blind sided; but found the right one? Or were you like me?

Well, both times, were similar. She was going on a "girls night out" and I was going on a "guy's night out". When we got to the bar, our friends introduced us, told us that we were on a "date", and left.

Yes once. It was a double date and we didn't like each other. Well I didn't like him anyway, I don't think he even knew I was there. He used dirty language so I spoke but little.

It was a big dance place and we each wandered off right away and met up with some of our own, separate friends who were also there. The couple who fixed us up took us home eventually. It was embarrassing.

As a teenager I had lots of blind dates. Friends getting other friends a date. I was quiet and the blind date was too. It doesn't usually work out that way. Our friends didn't know any psychology. Lol. Two quiet people can't bring each other out. All that's left is kissing. LOL!!!

Back in high school, it happened a couple of times. Mostly, it was a boring evening. However, one night I went with my girlfriends's cousin (he showed up unexpectedly) to the beach as a double date with same girlfriend and her steady date. You know, it was one of the nicest evenings spent just sitting by a fire, and strolling the beach, and playing like children.
He was from out of town, and I never heard from him again, but I never forgot the nice time.

As a teenager, I was set up by friends. It's so long ago that I can't remember if they worked out or not.:playful:
