Have You Ever Been the Victim of a Scam?

Apparently youth have a larger chance of being scammed. It’s just that people in middle and higher years have more money to be lost. Listening to podcasts, many searching for love or big financial wins have lost tens to 100s of thousands of dollar. “I met a nice person online….” Listening to these folks in their midlife or higher, they’re not senile. A fool and their money are soon parted.

Yeah. I got an email that looked like it came from my internet provider. It said I had to upgrade my email to 8.6 and there was a link. Well, the link disrupted my email, I couldn't get my email. But for $59, they could fix the error. What made the scam so good was that Metrocast.net didn't exist anymore.

i want to think i won't fall for broken promises. i try to be very vigilant on clicking random links. i usually take a pic of the email or text message and then do my own research. i use trustpilot dot com to see what others are saying about a specific business or website. usually that answers my question.
