Have You Ever Dreamed About Being Rich?

I will preface this by saying I am very happy with what I have. I walk around the lake close to our home and see obscenely large, multi-million dollar houses being built and wonder if the residents are actually as happy as I am. I would never want to go back into the pressure cooker of Corporate America to acquire more.

That said, I have had dreams where we were entertaining friends in big, lavish homes. But I wasn't disappointed when I woke up in our comfortable, middle class home.

I'm quite content. I would have liked to have been rich when I was younger, but my life style pretty much dictated that I would never want to live where all the big money was at. So I made plans to just earn what I needed and a little bit more, so I could be close to nature, lots and lots of nature, and that was more important than anything else. If someone offered to give me a billion dollars, sure I would take it, providing there were no strings attached, and I could still live my own life where and how I wanted. I do not regret the choices I have made, and I'd make them again. OK, I've done a couple of dumb things that I regret, but none of them had anything to do with getting rich or not getting rich.

No thanks …money isn’t everything …..health is the main concern in life
even if I was rich , I couldn’t do anything different as how I live now…..
it’s nice to be well off…….I’ve been, on the top scale , and the lower scale in life
, money is a subject , I wouldnt and don’t like discussing ……

I would like to be able to do whatever I want; go wherever I want; however, don't need the highest class of doing that. So yes, I would like to be modestly rich where I have no needs or worries, financially speaking. I would also like to be able to be more charitable, I just can't spare the dough right now.

Being rich has never been on any of my lists toward making me happy. Not one. Never even contemplated it until just now. But I do remember in my 30s often saying to my friends, "I'd choose sleeping in a tent with someone I loved over living in a mansion with no one to make me happy."
