Have you ever had anything to come out of your mouth and thought, "Where did that come from"?

Have you ever had anything to come out of your mouth and thought, "Where did that come from"? Yesterday, one of my daughters was here and we were talking about black skillets. She said she wanted to do her cooking in them but hers were brown with what looked like rust. Just out of the blue, I commented, "It sounds like it needs seasoning to me". She comes back with, "How do you season them?" I responded with, "You clean the rust off of it, then coat it with oil and put it in the oven and cook it". I thought, where did that come from? I haven't even thought about seasoning black skillets or did it for almost 50 years. I told her with my memory and it's been so long since I've done it would be best to ask someone besides me. She said she would and she would Google it also. I was curious so I Googled it and was shocked that the information I gave her was correct. I didn't know how long to "cook it" but like I told her, she might have to do it several times but it will work. Mine don't rust and haven't for years. Still, the fact that I remembered this that I didn't do but just a few times from that long ago still shocks me. It doesn't make sense! I can't remember things that happened just last week or just yesterday sometimes but I remember without even trying how to do something that I did 50 years ago? I don't understand. Are you like this?

Yep. Often old buried information will filter to the surface even though I sometimes can't tell you what I had for breakfast that very day.

Its funny how that happens sometimes. If we could only download everything in our brains to our computer screens I'm sure it's be quite interesting for us all.

Since this happened, I have been remembering just bits and pieces about it. I would pass it on to her for her to do what she wanted to with it. She emailed me and told me, "It works!!!" She was so excited and I was so happy to help her.
