What kind of MD did you go to to have your bite corrected?I've had TMJD for decades. There were times it was quite painful, when the jaw locked. Having my bite corrected, helped. I no longer get the locked jaw.
Thanks for the suggestions.Yes, Becky is right, I've had it too in the past, not a lot you can do....ice, anti inflammatory meds and relaxing muscles in your face as much as you can.

I mostly always eat soft food except for some raw veggies and then I chew on the good side.I have had Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD) for years. A dentist first diagnosed it because I thought I was having problems with my teeth which wasn't the case.
He recommended eating very soft food for a few days which helped. I was quite a gum chewer and finally gave up that habit.
I also clench my teeth which doesn't help. I try to control that habit as well.
I haven't had it for awhile.
Try eating the soft foods. That helped the most.
