Have you ever had milk toast?

Remember when overly "mild" people were referred to as "Milquetoasts"? There was a character named Caspar Milquetoast, I guess because milktoast is bland.

When I first saw this post, this is what came to mind with the mention of "milk toasts". I bought this bread as a special treat for my munchkins.

No memory of milk toast or of being sick as a child.

No. But my father used to love cornbread in buttermilk. I never would eat it with buttermilk, which I thought was gross, but it was good with regular milk and a little sugar.
