Have you Ever Shopped on BLACK FRIDAY?

Have you ever went out on Black Friday to get good shopping deals? I haven't, I don't like to go shopping in general, and going when there are insane crowds of people waiting there to push their way into the store never did sound very appealing to me. I like to do any shopping on weekdays, when there's less people in the stores and on the roads.

Going to the store is so yesterday, online black friday shopping is the new black. do your research, check prices, study your prey..then pounce.

Dunno much about the Black Friday thing other than getting swamped by Amazon ads. Is it a US thing or what?

I used to score wonders on eBay by bidding on stuff ending Christmas Day. There'd only be a few lonely old tragics on it and stuff went for a song for lack of bidders. They've woken up to that though and nothing much worth having ends on that day now. siiiiiigh.

Not only no, but HELL NO! As one that has to be drug to the grocery store kicking and screaming, just in order to sustain life, there aren't enough horses in the country to drag my fat white a** to a BF sale. Sharpening my claws and "pouncing" on internet websites doesn't hold any thrill for me either.

In fact, we bowed out of the Christmas schizophrenia years ago. I informed all friends and relatives that we were opting out of gift giving and to please do the same as far as we were concerned.

This is in protest against having Christmas shoved down my throat by retailers starting in July, and the fact that no one close enough to me to buy for needs one more item of junk.

The spirit of Chrismas has long ago left me behind, with all the commercialization and the PC crowd bent on imposing their will to destroy all that is traditional, in their effort to appease every foreign culture and religious ideology that steps foot on American soil.

How big's that soapbox OG? Room for me? I keep my own little insane tradition of cooking something roasted on a usually stinking hot day, but the decorations, retail, and cards trauma aspects I've scrapped.

Just another "Blonde" joke:

One blonde to another blonde: Did you know, the New Year falls on Friday?"
The other blonde: "I hope it is not on 13th!!"

No, I have never done that. My son's wife does it however, will even go out at 3 in the morning to get some kind of deal on Black Friday. For the last few years I have done all of my shopping online. I can compare prices and find great deals.

I'm with those who don't, and can you believe all the stores that's staying open all night Thursday night after being open all day Thursday, to get an early start. Heaven ta Betsey. What'll we think of next?

Jeeeezsus their commercials are driving me nuts.

Who in the hell in their right mind would go shopping at 8:00pm on Thanksgiving night ?!?

First of all I will be in a food induced coma by then, not that I would even consider doing anything that involved shopping. I'm not even going anywhere near a store for days.

Oh about...About 33 million are expected to shop on Thanksgiving this year, the NRF says. Three times as many, 97 million, are expected to shop on Black Friday.

Hate shopping. Went years ago and have never gone since. There is not anything I want bad enough to go though that just to save money. Three years ago had to go to Target sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The shopping wasn't bad, but it literally took me 2 hours to get out of the parking lot. Never again!

I haven't done the Black Friday thing, but I have a friend who travels to the States every year and shops for the deals. Me? wouldn't do that in a million years!

In Canada they have started the same thing because they figure that all the Cdns are spending their money in the US. Seriously? I just don't get it.

I don't shop on line at all either. I'll make a list of the things I want to buy and and spend a day (1 only) shopping for them. If I'm lucky, I'll have a companion with me and include a lunch out as well.

I forgot all about those Blue Laws.
I'm an online shopper for most of everything that I buy, so I wouldn't ever think about running out to any super sale at any time of the day, or night, at the stores. Have never been to a Black Friday sale event that I can ever remember.... and I probably would remember ..

Wowzer, that is outrageous. It's madness I tell you!

Tomorrow we can have fun on the forum relating all the news stories about shoppers trampling and beating each other up.
