Oz and Di, scoot over a bit and make room for me on that soapbox! Way back in the olden days (about 25 years ago) shopping on Black Friday was fun. Some stores opened as early as 6 am, but people weren't as hostile and aggressive then, and there weren't lines waiting to get in, either, because most of them were still home in bed! I once went out early to get one of only five VCRs being offered for $50; it was in the days when they cost at least $300. Got mine because I was fourth in line, then went home. From what I've seen on the news in recent years, there's not a bargain big enough to risk my life!
