Have you gone "plastic"?

I don't do online banking, pay my monthly bills by check.I've been a victim of identify theft so I'm very cautious
I have 1 credit card, another store credit card, pay for mostly everything else by cash

all plastic here ..
like you fuzzy, i keep a certain amount of cash, to pay the gardener , car washer, window cleaner etc...but other than that all plastic

I use 3 cash back CC, most bills are auto pay, I think the only check I pay is property taxes and that is because they charge a high fee for CC.
While surfing recently I saw an app called No Plastic where you just show something on your phone for scanning, didn't really pay much attention to it, but thought....that'll be the next big thing.

Part of my going all 'plastic' is using the "bill pay" feature at my credit union. It's easy to set up and use. If I want to pay my property tax, i enter the amount, and the credit union mails out a check-FREE. I haven't actually written a check in years.

All of my bills are on autopay through my credit card. I pay the credit card balance each month online authorizing my bank to make the payment. Nobody has permission to debit my bank account directly. Guys who work for me prefer cash, so I get cash when I am having something done and carry a little cash for small drive thru payments, etc.

I have used plastic for quite a while. All my bills are on autopay, so I rarely write a check Also I get between 1 and 5 percent back on my purchases.

Apple Pay on your phone lets you you link to a credit card. I’m considering it in case I forget my CC holder. It happened once but I survived without my purchases.

The days of cash are fading. Only thing I can think of that absolutely requires cash is a parking meter. I don‘t like the idea of giving my CC to a restaurant waiter and watch him disappear with it into a back room, so I pay cash — which also makes leaving a tip easier and more meaningful. Checks are another means of payment that are sometimes appropriate, but they are not really cash since no paper money or coins change hands. Other than that?

For in-person payments I was cash pre-covid, now it's by my one credit card. Utilities are auto-pay. I tried to switch those to a different bank but it's a hassle. I wasn't ready to give someone in India my credit card info.
