Have you had any near misses whilst driving lately?

Have you had any hear misses lately?
I had one just now.
I am waiting at a T Junction road, red light.
Light changes to green car in front of me goes, I go.
As I am turning, a car comes through the intersection, against the red and I missed T Boning him by about 1 foot.
He obviously was not paying attention and drove through the intersection as if he had a green light.
I only gave him two toots and we continued on our way.
Concentration is needed at all times whilst driving.

I had one last year that wasn't a miss; it was a hit, but minor.
As I'm going up my street, the car in front of me pulls over to the curb & stops. I was concerned that he might be trying an illegal U-turn or left turn, so I waited behind him for a few seconds. When he didn't move, I figured he might have pulled over to make a call. Just as I started to pass him, he whips around & hits me.
The two near misses I've had all involved stupid pedestrians.
1. I'm stopped at a red light. When the light turns green, I start to go. Out of the corner of my eye, under a raised truck, I see skateboard wheels rolling; only wheels, nothing else. Instinctively, I slam on my brakes. Good thing I did; the idiot just speeds across the street on his skateboard - on a red light. He looked around 19 - old enough to know that when his light is red, cars have a green light.
He really lucked out. If the vehicle next to me was a car, instead of a raised truck, I wouldn't have seen the little skateboard wheels & wouldn't have stopped.

2. I'm driving down a street, going 45 mph, the speed limit. As I'm approaching an intersection on a green light, the car on my left quickly stops & a passenger jumps out & runs across the street right in from of me. I slam on my brakes & knew I wouldn't be able to stop in time to avoid hitting him, except for a couple of things: When I slammed on my brakes, the front end of my car dipped down & at the same time, he jumped over my hood. He looked to be around 20. He must have been really scared; when he got to the curb, he just stood there looking shocked.
I wonder if he made it to his next birthday.

Oh... only every time I venture out of the yard... be it on my motorcycle or in my car. One thing you must learn quickly is mid-Florida drivers are always in a rush to get somewhere. Throw the cell phone use in the mix and you better drive with your head on a 360 degree swivel. I'm sure it's only a matter of when, not if you'll be in a crash here. :(

These days, people wait a few seconds before going when the light turns green. Too many drivers continue turning left on a red light.

Pedestrians suddenly run out from the sidewalk when drivers are turning right .. bikers as well, and people reading/texting while crossing make me bonkers.
