Have you met any famous celebrities

If so, did you like their personality, were they nice to you? Did you say the right thing or were you shy and got tongue-tied?

I have met or seen closely in person a few people I very much admire - actors, singers, authors. I tend to be overwhelmed and unable to find the right thing to say. The truth is I often prefer not to meet an especially favourite celebrity in case their real self is not pleasant. If you understand , I want to maintain my own vision of them.

Yes loads.. I could sit here for an hour naming them all.. many are still personal friends.. I worked but now retired... as does my husband still...in the TV and film production industry for years..My husband is a well known name in the Business

The only one who comes to mind is Werner Von Braun.

About 1973 he had come to town to do a talk at a big church downtown. The venue hosted a lot of things of that nature.

After speaking I didn't get close enough for a handshake but somehow he noticed me, waved, gave a "thumbs-up," and said something I couldn't make out. The place was packed and quite noisy. He seemed in good spirits and "jolly" enough though, if that's the right word. I suspect by that point in his career he was pretty much a NASA spokesman all day long.

It feels a bit creepy now. We know so much more about him and what surrounded him during WW II.

Well, I ran into (and when I say "ran into" I MEAN "ran into") Hulk Hogan once. I ended up on my heinie. He's a hard guy to run into.....

I kissed John Davidson and he kissed back.

I also ran into Godfrey Cambridge on the back stairs of the newspaper I worked for. He didn't knock me down but it was close. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.

No, I don't get tongue tied. I don't hold any well known person as different to the average Joe/Joess on the street. I've either liked them or I haven't - much as I would anyone else.
It's comforting to know those I have detested were as I thought, and been slung in the nick for their wrongdoings.

The only one who I might be tongue tied with (purely because I'd want to rip the pants off him) would be Keanu Reeves.
Never hear a bad word about him and seems such a lovely, kind, and caring bloke. To me, he is 'what it says on the tin'.

I’ve seen many, close in person celebrities from concerts I’ve been to including
MaDonna, Seal, Bob Dylan, Peter Frampton, Peter Gabriel. Stevie Wonder, Stevie Nicks, Bruce Springsteen, Springsteen, Eric Clapton,
Aretha Franklin, Sting, Diana Ross, Diana Ross, Neil Young, Phil Collins, James Taylor, Alicia Keys, Alanis Morrisette, Carlos Santana, Billy Joel, Frank Zappa ( not a fan )
Rush, Pink Floyd, the blue man band, Uriah heap, Boston, Chicago, lighthouse, April wine.
Mike & the Mechanics, Robbie Robertson and many more.

I had a friend who organized bands and tickets in the GTA so saw quite a few bands and saw many people up close. The closest stars I got to were MaDonna since I had front row seats and Robbie Robertson since it was a smallish formal event ( that I wasn’t told about so wore blue jeans )
Mike Murley a famous saxophone I’ve had conversations with and had my picture taken with him & his band
Michael Cain who came into a restaurant I was at with friend in the early 80’s
Peter Frampton I got very close to
Carlos Satana and Alanis Morrisette I was also really close to but no conversation. I wish I saw Peter Gabriel up close. I couldn’t have been more far away at his concert and Genesis concert but I’ve literally been to hundreds of concerts.
