Have You Or Anyone You Know Ever Had A Paranormal Experience?

Besides being psychic, which I will talk more about later, I have seen a ghost and felt the presence of another entity. I never thought I'd be saying that I've seen a ghost. I saw the ghost (or Jinn, whatever he was) in my bathroom mirror while I was primping. I never turned around, just stared at him via the mirror for about a minute. He had on a plaid shirt and salt & pepper hair. He seemed to be short and was "floating" in the hallway. After about a minute he floated sideways into our studio room. One night as I was sleeping, I felt something tugging on my arm. I had fallen asleep in my recliner and it was dark. It seems like I kept saying 'STOP...STOP IT"! in a very annoyed manner but maybe I just thought it. Either way, the tugging stopped. I thought my husband had come in and was messing with me. I got up to go to the bathroom and realized it was not my husband. The temperature in the bathroom was normal but when I got back to my chair, the area approaching it and around it was very cold. I've heard that's the sign of a ghostly presence.

I have a friend who has a resident ghost in her house. They call him Top Hat. Her son had been seeing him in the basement since he was a little boy. A friend who was working on her basement recently came and told her he saw a man wearing a top hat down there. And one day when she was talking to me on the phone while standing in her driveway, she saw him suddenly materialize and enter her home. He could not have walked past her because the space between her van and the steps is very tight. It frightened her but I told her that if he wanted to hurt her, he would have done it a long time ago. I joked with her saying "go on in the house and say "Que pasa amigo..why are you here?" It made her laugh but she was still uneasy and asked me to stay on the phone while she went in. Nothing that night but a a couple of weeks later, her son who is now 17 saw him again. An ex boyfriend who made fun of people who believed in "duppies" (Jamaican word for ghosts), called me one day, very frightened saying he had seen a ghost old woman the night before, sitting on his little daughter's bed. He asked me what to do. One of my grandsons (who is a very smart, laid back, no nonsense young man) and my son's ex (not my grandson's mother) have seen shadow people, not in the same places. I also have an online friends who see ghosts and shadow people. These friends are very smart, knowledgable and reliable people that I've been in groups with for over a decade.

I have had many, which some would describe as 'paranormal/supernatural' since I arrived in this world in 1950. However, I am of the opinion there is a natural explanation for them all, even if science hasn't come up with it yet.

Houdini would have loved this stuff...

I haven't, but my son had several experiences where he saw things that weren't explainable. He says though that he doesn't believe in ghosts, he says it is just energy that hangs around forever. Smacks of ghosts to me.

Yes, a totally phantom wartime scene (in 1957) in a part of England where such scenes had long ceased.

My mother and my wife were both "fey" and regularly experienced such things, my wife in particular becoming very distressed when driving past a certain place in Cornwall, which we later found was where local witches were burned.

When my son was a baby we lived in an old cottage in Cornwall. Several times a week he would gurgle with pleasure and crawl to the bottom of the stairs and chatter away to somebody we couldn't see. Sometimes the dog would join him with a vigorously wagging tale.

Locals, when told the story, simply said, "Oh yes, that'll be one of the old people!.

The builder who "renovated" sorry, ruined our next door house, swore he had seen a ghost there. I recon the only spirits he had seen were at the village pub where he spent a lot of time. However, our house certainly has a personality and I have to be careful what work I do. Sounds mad, but you can tell if the house is happy or not.

A couple of other unexplained things... both myself and my neighbours have found items deliberately placed in the walls of our houses, presumably as tokens to bring good luck or ward off evil.

On two occasions, we have heard dogs howling loudly and these have coincided with the death of relatives.

Coincidences - probably.

Orbs are said to be Guardian Angles by some.

Here is a picture taken at my MIL's birthday in November. I also took 2 photos (I deleted them) of my wife sitting on a couch and after she left the couch. When she was in the picture,an Orbs was above her, in the after picture with her gone there was no Orbs !!

Our previous property circa 1610 came to media attention when the weirdest things happened in it for 11 of the 15 years we lived there. If you can think of it in connection with the paranormal we experienced it. I have loads of photos taken over the years, of what went on there, it was fascinating, although it could be irritating too. It never scared us as we didn't believe it to be supernatural, which is a concept in which we don't believe.

In the 1990's my (ex) husband and I renovated our home built in 1888. We did massive renovations in various phases and nothing unusual occurred until we began converting the attic in a 3rd floor master suite. I would set an alarm clock at night, which failed to go off in the morning because it had been turned off. Thinking I may have done that in my sleep I moved it to a spot requireing me to get up to turn it off. It was still disabled, and not by me. I then got a 2nd alarm clock, put them both in different locations and they both were shut off sometime before morning. Among their MANY toys, my kids had a remote controlled army tank and a small, battery operated toy "lazer light" gun - both of which would turn on, by themselves, during the night. The youngest (5 years old) complained his older siblings were teasing him by knocking on the walls when he was playing alone in his bedroom. Thing is - all the other kids were outside. I was in the house and heard nothing. Once when I was folding clothes in the laundry room I had a very strong sense someone was watching me even though I was the only one home at the time. I turned around and "saw" what appeared to be an adult sized wisp of white (like smoke) moving quickly down the hallway. The battery on my wrist watch died so I threw the watch in my purse to get a new one. I carried it in my purse for months and would often dig it up when looking for something else - always the battery was dead. Finally I took it into a store, dug it out, gave it to the clerk to replace the battery and she looked at me funny, handed the watch back and asked if I really wanted a new battery put in. The watch was running and set to the exact time. I don't remember everything that happened and I attributed this to a spirit. We were only the 3rd owners of the 100+ y.o. Home. The first family lived there 100 years with several births and deaths there. My ex, an agnostic and a very pragmatic, science based physician (medical doctor) acknowledged that something weird was happening for which he had no explanation. Eventually things settled down. We never felt threatened.
