Have you tried this combination?

I was watching a local news station this morning and they put up a picture of a peanut butter and mayo sandwich. I've never tried it and I don't plan to because in my opinion, the mayo would ruin the peanut butter to me. Have you tried this combination and if so, how was it?

I like peanut paste on toast with fresh sliced tomato it’s quite nice actually
Don’t think I’d like PP and mayo :( not likely to try either

P nut butter and mayo (Especially Best Foods) go together quite nicely. They were made for eachother.

I've made (and eaten) it many times and will again when the mood strikes me.

Oh, Hellman’s yeah!
(actually any good mayo, just thought I’d get punny)

PB, lettuce and mayo…on white bread

You haven’t tried, well, it’s a dare

Maybe it's good for people that have peanut butter stick to their teeth and/or roof of their mouth. It is a lubricant, right? :eek:nthego:

I just had a peanut butter and mayonnaise mixture (50/50 of each) on a ritz cracker and it tasted--just like peanut butter. And I read that during the Great Depression that peanut butter-mayonnaise sandwiches were common because the mayonnaise stretched out the peanut butter being that mayonnaise was cheaper.

I like my peanut butter - both smooth and crunchy - pure and plain on wheat bread. With mayo does not appeal to me.

I honestly don't see the need for peanut butter mixed with mayonnaise anymore. The Great Depression is over. There's got to be some other explanation for this having been brought up recently again. I wonder if it's some kind of advertisement like when chocolate crashed into peanut butter and bingo, you've got a new product. :playful:
