Having a Walk In Tub

Maybe I shouldn't post, since I don't have a walk in tub - but just a thought: as people age, it may become more difficult getting into a seated position in a tub and rising back up, making it more risky to slip and fall. I believe I prefer a no threshhold shower I can just step into. If the time comes it's not safe to stand in the shower, I could use a shower hose with a wand to wash while sitting in a shower chair.

The bungalow I live in has a sunken bath and a separate shower cubicle. I use both, bath every day 'cept Sundays when I use the shower.

For me, the sunken bath isn't a problem.... just literally step in and out which is easy peasy. But there again I've no problems actually rising up to get out.
I have wondered thinking further ahead if I could still get out if I developed problems rising, no answer for that yet, I'll have to wait and see as time progresses.

I love a bath, soothing and relaxing whilst the shower, although I like a long hot one and probably my skin is cleaner with stuff being washed away, it seems an 'activity to do' rather than lie back in bubbles and feel more......erm.....dunno how to describe it except 'relaxed' , which would be a daft word because I have it in the mornings to wake up.
