Headache after exertion

I went out this morning and scraped 50 feet of accumulated leaf mold along the edge of the front sidewalk. Had to make several trips with the bucket of scraping out to the compost pile. Now I have a terrible headache. I can't do anything anymore.

Maybe it was all that bending down, Deb. If I bend down too much, I get dizzy.

Yes, it could be the mold, was my first thought as well. Along with all the dust and other tiny debris stuff that got kicked up into the air, while you breathed it in.

But yes, it could also be the bending, and/or, the exertion.

Rest up, and take the rest of the day off!
Plenty of clear liquids might help, too.

Hope that goes away soon, Deb, and I hope you do not have another walkway, you plan to do!

At least till next year!
;)

Raking and carrying leaves always gives me a headache. Has to do with the muscles around the shoulders. Do your shoulder muscles hurt when you push on them? Particularly the one midway between your shoulder and neck (upper traps) and the one midway between your collarbone and shoulder (pectoralis). I use heated gel packs for relief.

I have a lot of spring chores. Washing the windows, removing a post from a blown over back porch portico, removing a dead vine from the house....

Also, Judycat, in what way do you mean to push on the muscles?

It's called "Gettin' old."
Up to age 50, my typical weekend consisted of:
1. Get up, eat, etc.
2. 30 minutes on the elliptical & lift some weights.
3. Go to the range with 400 rounds & come home with only empty shells.
4. Wash car.
5. Evening date & more "exercise" after the date.

Now, it's "Pick ONE of the above," then rest 2 days.

Hope you are well now. I agree with the mold and dust, coupled with the bending. If you have any allergies, or need to do that again, maybe wear a mask (most of us do seem to have a mask or two on hand these days).
Drink that water.
