Heating Oil Prices

How long does that last? In our area we have natural gas heat which is usually pretty inexpensive. Plus our winters are usually pretty mild.

Depends on the weather. Between Christmas and New Year it hardly got out of the single digits, so I probably used quite a bit then. Averages about 2 months between fill-ups.
Wow! so you spend an average of $550 per month in winter? Don't you own a good coat Deb?

I was shocked today when a delivery of heating oil cost $1100! I guess I can't complain, though, what I pay ($2.999 a gallon) is well below state-wide average.

I'm not sure I understand.

How does the cost of today's delivery compare to the cost of the last delivery, has the price of fuel oil increased dramatically?

I know that in my area gasoline is up about twenty cents a gallon since the first of the year so I would assume a similar increase in fuel oil prices.

We have the highest electricity prices in the world in South Australia ,so we use a modern type slow combustion wood burning heater in the winter ...our three monthly electricity account is useally under $100
We get most of our wood by going to a farm and collecting it ourself so it’s costs us about a tank of petrol, for the car and our energy getting it to save getting huge accounts saving us big $$$$$$ I hear allot in SA have winter bills of $2.500

Its very hot here right now ..we are in the middle of summer
