Unfortunately our lives have been majorly changed. In May I had the misfortune of a motorcycle accident. I clipped a guardrail and was tossed over an embankment.
I flipped, tumbled and slid 134 feet down a rock and brush covered hill before coming to a stop. I remember every second of it, figured that was my end, made piece with God and went to sleep. I woke up 4 days later with 2 surgeries already under my belt. For some reason God kicked me back here, guessing its because I can serve as a bad example.
Totals so far, Between my Pelvis, left Hip and Femur, Right Tib-Fib, 19 fractures, 8 surgeries, 7 units of blood. I was one day short of 8 weeks in the hospital before coming home. At this point I'm able to get around with a cane, but its exhausting to even go shopping for groceries. Pain management is now my life.

Wow , Old Medic.. just a few days ago I realised we hadn't seen you for a while and I was going to PM you..because Admin would rather we did that, before putting anything on the forum about missing members.. and then it slipped my mind ...

It sounds like you have been through to Hades and back.. you poor guy.. what a horrendous sounding accident.. soo lucky to still be here.. altho' with all your pain I'm sure you might not think you're very lucky, and I understand that.

Very pleased to hear from you on the forum and to know you survived that which could have so easily killed you. God has a plan for your life, for sure...

Must be very hard for you to have your life put on pause for a while now, and into the future.. but you'll get there eventually.. and at least you have us to keep you company when things get tough. (y)

@old medic , I was worried after you weren't here for so long. Didn't want to think the worst, but it almost was. OMG!

I've missed you and wish I could hug you right now. You've been through so much, it's a miracle you survived. May God help you through recovery.

Thankfully, you are back with us and, please stay off those bikes.
The bike faired way better than I did. The crash bars did their job. About $1000 in parts to fix it, and about done. I thought about selling it and see what the future holds, But the wife wants to hang on to it. Must say she still looks good.

Hi Old Medic, glad to have you back with your SF friends
God was certainly on your side to survive this terrible accident
I hope with each passing day the pain isn't too bad, keep in touch with us Sue

Sorry to hear about your accident. I've more or less quit riding my Harley because I just don't feel comfortable riding it. Today is was 76 and clear and sunny here in Central Florida, and i was tempted to ride, but then remembered that I'm old...

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery and a relief from the pain.

Welcome back! I haven't tried them personally but I hear the Delta 9 Gummies are good for pain.
I've tried some gummies, both for pain and sleep.... didn't really help. I actually grew some from some seeds my Buddy had.....
one or two puffs and I'm out. Don't care for that either.
