Hello all, I'm old and bald, but still with some life left

Hello,

As per the title of this thread, I am indeed old and bald. I'll be 75 in just under a month, so I think that entitles me to call myself old.

As far as still having some life left, I hope I do, but of course I could get run over by a bus tomorrow. However, I doubt if that will happen because I rarely cross the road nowadays. Instead I get in my car and drive across the road to get to the shops and back. Good plan huh?

Hello, Babs2u, I live in the UK where the roads are much narrower, so my post about driving rather than crossing the road was somewhat tongue in cheek, but I don't like walking as I have an autoimmune disease that robs me of my strength and stamina, so I do really drive to the shops rather than walking.

I live just north of London, in Hertfordshire. The town I live in has two names. The posh people call it Elstree, but the rest of us plebs know it as Borehamwood. I'm not from there, I'm originally from Bristol, in the West Country. However, my wife is a Londoner, and she and I have lived in Borehamwood for 38 years now, and as I'm getting older, I doubt if we'll move away, but there are times when I wish we lived in a more rural setting than now.

I also live in Herts... but in a village over on the East... I know Borehamwood very well.. I used to work there in the Studios., had to travel there every morning and back for many years .my recently divorced X still works there ...
