I am a 70 year old female who is in fair health. I live in a small town in Indiana and have 4 children (one lives in heaven) and 8 grandchildren. I am at a loss for the first time in my life for something to do. Having had children from the time I was 21, my grandchildren are as of this year to big to need a babysitter. We live on a limited budget but can make things stretch enough to enjoy some times out. I love to shop for bargains and after years of caring for others (I was a LPN) I am enjoying learning to take care of myself. My husband is busy with some sort of project, he has completly taken over the yard which used to me mine and has a selfmade greenhouse and works with wood and plays golf. Right now he is building my casket, has already made his. Gruesome thought isn't it!:p I told him I did not want to see mine but he insisted.Right now I would rather concentrate on living. Hope to make many friends on here. :D

Hi JPM...welcome to the forum from London England.

You are sooo right, who wants to look at their casket when there's so much living yet to do?..:beerandwhistle:...all of us on here regardless of the age ( and there's 30 or more years between some of us) are still very young at heart and mind..

Hi Pappy and Hollydolly! Hope you have a wonderful day and glad you saved some of that" young at heart" attitude for me as I am having a bad case of the "Poor old me's". But tomorrow is another day and I am sure that this will not last forever!

Hi and WELCOME! Could you please fill out your Profile area so we can learn more about you? Thanks. I'm only 5 years away from being your age, and I hope when I get there, I am still acting the way I do today.........young and silly! LOL

Hello Just plain me, happy you're with us!

Hello Me, and welcome to the forum. We also have 4 children and 8 Grandchildren (plus 3 Great Grands). Just have your Husband practice hitting golf balls from INSIDE his greenhouse for awhile...:) I remember an ad selling pine box coffins, that you could buy ahead of time and keep in the house as book shelves....sounded kinda creepy to me. We're glad you found us, and hope you feel at home among us.:)
