My wife and I are from California, northern to be exact. I am 67, my wife is 63 if I ask, I'll get yelled at, LOL. we are both semi retired. Even thou I have had some health issues, I cannot complain. Life has been good, for the both of us. Nice to be here. I hope I can get some advice on how to navigate Medicare and Medical.
Medicare ( federal ) is fine, but its the State of California Medical, thats the tricky one. I hope everyone in or near retirement , that all is well.

My wife and I have about a 4 year age difference...me being older. It's all worked out over the decades.

Nice to have you on board! Dive in and start posting. Many friendly and helpful folks on this forum. :)

Welcome Larry. Great to have you aboard.
I am also in Northern Cal, but I am with the V.A. Healthcare. However, before my wife passed, she had Medicare and Anthem Blue Cross Plan N. In the course of 5 years of cancer treatments for her, between the two, it pretty much took care of everything, and there were significant expenses. Many doctors and hospitals will accept Medicare as full payment, and some don't, and that's where the supplemental helps.

The thing is, you have to see what plans are available in your particular area, and choose what's best for you and that is within your budget. I will tell you this, that if you or your wife develop a serious health condition that requires costly medical, you will be so thankful that you have a good plan.
