My name's Lily and I am new to this forum thing at the ripe ol' age of sixty-two. I have a beloved cat called Jess, who I live with, as my husband passed away some years ago.

I'm looking forward to chatting with everybody and finding out about yourselves.

Hi Lily, welcome to the forum! My condolences for the loss of your husband. I'm 59 years old, and have been happily married over 35 years. This past December we got a Manx kitten, who is 7 1/2 months old now, and a joy to be around. We also have a 10 year old Standard Schnauzer boy. Pets are wonderful, I wouldn't be without one.

Hey Lily, welcome, you'll find that it's a great place to talk and get your feelings out if that's what you need, or a place to learn a lot of useful information. I'm sorry to hear about your husband passing, my wife passed a few years back and I know it can be quite difficult. And I am jealous of you and your cat! I had to get rid of my pets when I moved into my apartment. Anyways, Welcome!
