Hello from Another Newbie

Hi, everyone--

I'm 59 and live in VT, although I look forward to moving somewhere warmer at some point while I'm still young enough to enjoy it. (I dislike the extreme liberalism AND the weather in this State, even though it's really beautiful).

I'm an Independent, married to a Conservative, with no children of my own (although I have a couple of adult stepkids).

I'm involved in dog rescue; work as a computer programmer (hanging on for retirement in 2.5 years); like to travel although I don't enjoy flying; and would love to own my own business someday, if I can just figure out what I want that business to be.

I came here to look for discussions on various topics I think about now that I'm older.
