Hi everyone! My husband(58) and I(57)are newly retired. We're looking forward to a long retirement(hopefully). I'd love to hear everyone's ideas and advice regarding retirement and life in general. Can't wait to get started!

Welcome Judy from Worcester UK, there are lots of ideas for retirement living on this forum, perhaps identifying your interests in life is a good place to start?

Greetings....Blackhawk is a neat little town....we get up there to the casinos whenever we visit relatives in Denver. My grandparents, on my my mothers side, lived in Central City...next door to Blackhawk. Grandpa started out in the Silver mines when they immigrated from Italy, and eventually owned a Saloon in Central City. Lots of our family history in that area.

My husband and I have many interests, some shared and some not. We've never been bored or short of something to do. Now we have more time for those interests. Can't wait to read the forums on this sight.

We don't actually live "in" Black Hawk though. We live about 5 miles north of BH, off the Peak to Peak Hwy. We bought this home when I was pregnant with my first son(27 years ago) planning on it being our retirement home. Lots of years of commuting to work, but now we're retired here! I'm trying to include pics but having trouble. I'll figure it out.
