Good morning Mark. I was born in Ft. Lauderdale FL and now live in NC but looking for the perfect place in Florida to retire, or not. NC has fairly mild weather all year so I might keep my NC home, rent it out in the winter to the northerners escaping harsh winters and then rent something near the coast of Florida for the winter. Hmmm. Maybe.

There are some nice places on the Gulf Coast. If I was going to do something like that I think I'd look for a place over around Clearwater and St Pete. The area near the Kennedy Space Center on the East Coast is pretty nice, too. Cocoa Beach and the little beachside communities just South.
