Just found this forum and hope to participate and also gain some knowledge. I've been a long time member (and Mod) over at the Early Retirement board (early-retirement.org). But that crowd is too young for me anymore and I am seeking out new internet friends who are my age (over 70) and retired.

I am a retired engineer and still putter with old cars and anything that needs fixing or just plain needs help. Currently married to younger woman who has a host of medical problems. I'm in good condition and do all the "heavy lifting" around the house, which includes walking our 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier (or is he walking me?).

We live in The Woodlands in a 55+ community and the area is surrounded by traffic at all times. I hate it, but three hospitals and a Walmart are within one mile of us, so that has to be good.

Hello Holly and thanks for the welcome. Looks like you have been here for a good while with that post count! :)

HI aja 8888, welcome to this friendly place Sue in Buffalo,NY

Hi Sue. Must be getting cold in Buffalo now? I used to visit in-laws of ex wife in Hamburg years ago. I also had some good friends in Buffalo from a past job. I remember the big snow in the late 1970's as I was stuck in Hamburg for a few cold days!
