I'm a total newbie to forums. Mostly I've kept to myself
and been a professional ghostwriter for Internet Marketers.
Got bored.

Now I just wrote my first children's story, "The Magic Dragons
of the Crystal Mountains"...more will come.

I am a crazy (some think) digital photographer and have often
been seen standing in the snow barefooted to capture a sunrise.
I live in a senior retirement village and it took a little while for
the other residents to get used to me.

One resident got a visit from her brother one morning and she
told me that, when he asked her what I was doing, she told him
I was photographing the sunrise. He told her that I should just
take one photo of the sunrise and look at it each morning.

I didn't know how to answer that, though several possibilities
did creep through my alleged mind.

I'm happy to meet all of you.

Great, AuntSilver, welcome to the forum! The best thing to do is read over some of the threads and post whenever you feel like saying something. In other words - have at it!

Hello and Welcome, AuntSilver!! I'd love to hear more abut your book...have always thought it would be fun to write children's books.

I like photography also, but am not all that good at it; my daughter is much more talented with that. Hope you will share some of your pictures with us. :)

Welcome to the forum AuntSilver! :D Doing wild things like that is how people get the really good photos! Would love for you to create an album here, and share some of them with us. I loooove nature and all its beauty!

Hello and welcome Aunt Silver, im new here myself, and also a fan of digital photography. Strictly a begginer.

:sentimental: It is fun to write children's books...a lot like returning to your childhood.
You should give it a shot...what have you got to lose? Start out with a title
and some notes about the things/events you want to add to your story.

Make a list and refine it several times...put the notes in the order you
want them to be. Maybe write the first paragraph and read it several
times until you like it.

Another option is to quickly define your story and than "write" it as
a PowerPoint "story"...get some photos that apply to what you are
saying or search for Public Domain photos that fit in your story.

Simply put, if you are writing about a rabbit, gather Public Domain
rabbit photos or clip art, and use them on your frames in the
PowerPoint slide show.

Go ahead...just start. That's the hardest part...starting and not
worrying about anything or anyone's opinion.

Hope that helps...AuntSilver:)

I love taking nature photos...Mother Nature can be very
gorgeous almost every day. I am addicted to clouds, sunrises,
storms, flowers, trees, almost everything that is not a person.

I also like photographing animals. Over the last 8-10 years, I've
taken photos of everything around me that my eyes land on. I've
got CDs with over 2000 photos on them. As soon as I figure out
how to post photo albums, I will share some of my more dramatic
photos.:)
