Hello to all. My name is Terrence Plank. Nickname Eagledoc as I served as
a combat medic with the 101st Airborne Division '67/'68. Got out, things
didn't go well so served with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg for 3 years.
Attended Arizona State University and then onto California.
Grew up in Spokane, WA but not fond of the cold weather and it's really
bad for my golf game so have stayed in CA.
Me and the wife operated a Snack Bar on a Dude Ranch in the hills above
Napa Valley for 10 years. Never did learn how to ride a damn horse, though.
We then became resident managers for Holiday Retirement Corporation which'
builds and operates over 250 senior independent living communities. Very challenging
position over seeing 35 employees and 117 senior residents. Also very rewarding.
Sadly cancer took my wife and the job. So now I live with my daughter's family
in the Santa Cruz Mountains and babysit the 3yr old who is in the photo with me.
Her name is TJ which stands for Truly Jade. Truly came from Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang
but I have no idea where the Jade name came from.
7 Grand kids altogether. Son served with the Marines in Kuwait and Iraq. Daughter
and Son-in-Law went into the Air Force on a buddy program. Lots of patriots in
this family but not career soldiers.
You all might enjoy some funny stories on my blog "MuzzleYourMouse". Also some
Vietnam experiences appear there as well. Have posted a number of stories on HubPages
but haven't really picked up a following.
So looking forward to see what you folks write about. Nice to be here. Take Care,
Terrence
