Hello pmw, I wish I knew more about my family history. Is DNA an expensive way to track your family? Tell us of your endeavors. I'm Ina, hope you like it on the forum.
Hi Ina
it can add up if you do all the tests. I also have Acestry.com. I have found many 4th. Cousins from my mom's dad side who are Scottish. Most live in Nova Scotia. Also my dad's mother side have found many.

The mtdna was to find out if my mom's story she told all my life of her mother being a native American was true. Found out I have no native American blood in my mtdna.you can't always believe what has been passed down.

Pamela, I agree about what stories a person can believe or not. Actually my father told me that my mother was a Native American. Then when I was 33 or 34 I had to fly to Oregon to meet, and bring my grandmother back to Texas. There was no doubting her, she looked Indian and it was a shameful thing as far as my mother was concerned. My grandmother lived with my family for three years before she died. Until then I had always hope I was adopted, but even I could see I looked like her.
I tried Ancestry.com for a year, but I'm not computer literate, nor could I grasp how to search for the right data.

OK, now it is time to tell us about your feelings for the King...
