Here's a solid suggestion for eliminating Covid

Except that if you want to take a vacation in Hawaii, you will be required to "quarantine" for 10 days. That would kind of spoil anything resembling a "vacation"...unless you plan to stay there for several weeks.
Not if you have a negative test from a "trusted partner" within a certain number of days prior to arrival

I think I've always been as concerned about getting Covid as the person writing the article alluded to. A potential trip to Hawaii wouldn't have changed my behavior. I know enough about the possible side effects of getting Covid (even if they are rather low) and the possibility of extreme illness (lower still) or even death (the lowest percentage) that I wouldn't take any chances. It seems to have paid off. My wife and I have been able to have a reasonable time during the pandemic without taking any unwarranted chances.

Then again I've been to Hawaii often enough (and also in Jan/Feb or 2020) that it might not be enough of an incentive to be even more careful than I already am. Maybe if the trip would have been to a resort where all people would be quarantined and then musical artists (who also would quarantine) I enjoy would be performing for us might get me to be even diligent.
