Hey party people, whatcha think of this idea?

Friday night Oct 27 (11 AM West Coast time and 7 PM London time)
Bobcat's Bar could host a virtual Fabulous 50's Potluck and Party
When you show up at the event (The posted thread on that day):
Show us a picture of the cool ride you chose to get you there
Show us what you're wearing (You don't have to actually be wearing them ..... er, what I mean is just a picture of the clothes, unless you are good at photoshopping your head onto someone wearing an outfit you like)
Show us a picture of the dish you are bringing to the potluck so we can yummmm over it
Bring a 50's tune we can click on to shake our boo👻-ties to, or at least jiggle them 💃🕺
I'm thinkin' a Halloween theme would be cool, and if any ideas, toss 'em out here
You're the stars of the show, so it's your thing
btw, it's open bar, so all drinks are on the house
Sound like fun?
If so, maybe we could think about one for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years

Same here, but my parents had a drive in across from the high school, and all the kids would come over after school, get the jukebox rockin' and dance. I was same age as you, but I would watch them, and that's how I learned.

Anyway, still great music (Birth of Rock n' Roll), so I thought we would start there, and if enough interest, maybe the Thanksgiving one would have a Sensational 60's theme, and maybe a Disco Christmas for the 70's. New Years could be anything since. Just a thought. We will see how this goes.

No worries, it may go on for 4 hours. Maybe you can choose a picture or description of the ride you would choose, what clothes you would wear, what dish you would bring, and maybe a song from the 50's that gets you goin'. If not, show up anyway, and remind me of the drink order when you get there. It may be interesting to see what others come up with. We have a pretty creative bunch.
 
Well, I was just a tyke in the 50s, but it sounds like fun, count me in. I'll polish up my ride, whip up a tasty dish, put on my glad rags, and dust off my dancin' shoes! Would you please save the last dance for me? 💃🕺

Show us what you are wearing and not-wearing, and perhaps might be wearing, or never ever would be wearing.....Is that what you meant?😆

I would absolutely do it, but we leave for Europe on October 26. I know it won't be nearly as much fun! I'm a Halloween baby so we will be celebrating aboard a ship.

Thank you for recommending this. I've participated in past Zoom calls organized by one of the former members and it was great to get to know other members "live". I think @palides2021 is the only member still here but I feel a connection with her as a result.

Really appreciate you trying to get everyone together by doing something fun!

Yeah, that was one clumsy sentence wasn't it. After saying you didn't actually have to be wearing them, it sounded something akin to sexting that I was requesting, so had to back pedal a little, and it still didn't come out any clearer. You probably guessed I wasn't an English major.

I am actually planning to wear my giant sized blue hat with stars on it, that I keep in my gigantic closet, in my enormous mansion, on top of Mt. Everest. I'm shy and don't want to wear anything unconventional and stand out, so I'll go conservatively with that!😁😄😂

Sounds sensible and subtle. Never figured you for anything else. Keepin' it low key.
Can you drive a stick (And by stick, I mean a broom) - It would be a killer combo.
