Hi everyone

Of course we don't mind , you're very welcome...from me in London

Which part of the world are you in?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am in Ontario, Canada. About 3 1/2 hours East of Toronto. In my younger life I lived in Scarborough (suburb of Toronto). I live on a farm of 147 acres. I love gardening and wild life which we have plenty of. Wild turkeys, deer, foxes, cayotes and black bears in the Spring. I especially like chicadees, cardinals and hummingbirds when they arrive in the Spring. Don't care for blue jays, pesky starlings and house sparrows.

I have many house plants. Hibiscus and orchids are my favourites. Will post pictures when they start blooming again. Getting ready for the arrival of Spring, I put my hot pepper seeds in soil today. Had them sprouting since last weekend. They take longer than bell peppers to fruit so I need to start them indoors early. I used to sew, crochet and do crafts but not much time these days. I now try to conquer weeds that seem to get more plentiful each year.

You have posted so many beautiful pictures. Thank you.

Welcome from Houston! I envy you the country living you have. I love to garden and enjoy spring time with the humming birds, etc. Due to health issues I make do with growing ferns, etc.

Thank you Lee. Ruthanne I am about 30 minutes from Lake Ontario but I do have a small lake in my nearest village. Beautiful in the Summer and Winter too. Lots of fishing in Summer and ice fishing in the Winter. I love fish for dinner or lunch and am always trying to get hubby to go fishing. He would rather chop wood. He likes his fish fried crispy and he gets that in the Caribbean when we travel there.

P.S. what is the bell in upper corner for. I noticed red numbers there but when I click on the number, they just disappear.

Hi Catalyst..I am not so far from you but in Northern Ohio right on the lake.

Welcome Catalyst!
You can just have every one of us for friends! ;)

Plus, you can do what was said, regarding "following" so you can find some of our posts, quicker and easier if you'd like to. :)

Now, 🌺🌎Ruthanne, please be very careful not to fall in, as it sounds like you are about to! :ROFLMAO:

And Catalyst, there's no need for you to get any closer to the huge Lake, to wave at her, and then be at risk of getting wet and cold as well.

Btw, Catalyst, when you follow someone here, you do not get any alerts about it.
You'd need to click on your own username, and then click on preferences and following, to see your list, and select any, there.

At any time, you could simply click on any persons username anyplace, then click on their name again in the box that comes up,
then scroll a bit down to see their Postings.

***Catalyst, when you see that bell in upper right, with red numbers,
DO click on the BELL,
to get your list, of posters that liked your posts, or quoted you, or responded to a topic you started or showed interest in.

:)

Funny you should say that Kaila because some of the shore is eroding very quickly and badly at Geneva on the Lake. I was thinking what if it happens here. I am not far at all from the lake but doubt we will fall in soon... :ROFLMAO: and I am not at Geneva on the Lake but not terribly far from it.
