The SpiritWe live our life's for many years without it!
But it is there!
We forget we have one and think we are our minds!
But we are not!
We muddle through our every day problems!
But we never think about solving
them through our spirit.
One day we all wake up and find the gift
our Father gave us!
We are surprised but why? We are at peace, but
it was always with us it was our gift
at birth!

Thanks for the poem. I do try to find Peace. And it did take me a long time to realize it is there for me all along. Welcome to Senior Forums.

Glad you liked the poem my intent is to try to help others in anyway I can. It is so hard as we get older and things just happen, this last week I lost my Brother in law and then this week my niece had a new baby boy. So I guess life works in such mysterious ways. That poem helps me keep the faith and the strength you need to get through the trials of life.
 

Basque boy, I don't know how I overlooked this, but a belated welcome to the forum. Thanks for the inspirational poem. I am not a very religious person, but highly spiritual and believe drawing strength from within, as well as from earth and nature.

I am sorry for the loss of your brother-in-law and happy for the birth of a new family member. Life is very bittersweet at times.
