Yes Doune castle was also used for Game of thrones just before my daughters wedding. In fact because some of the grounds got a bit churned up during filming. Sean Bean who was in the first series sent a magnum of champagne to all of the brides with imminent weddings (my daughter included) as an apology incase it spoiled any of their pictures.
