Hmm...Maybe I've Still Got It!

Funny though...I was distracted and in a hurry and didn't see the face of the gal at the Drive Thru window. So I have no idea which employee drew that heart.

(Hope it wasn't some dude named Carl!) lol!

I think when it seems like women who wait on you are showing extra attention it is because you're wearing a look that shows that you're noticing them. So they appreciate the attention regardless of your age. Everyone looks for validation from others during the course of their busy day.
Giving validation to others without being the creepy old weird guy. That’s the fine line one must learn to mind. Talking about myself, not you 😊

You can impress the lady by simply saying, with a smile: "You look fabulous." You will get a smile in return and a thank you. Leave it there. The creepy reputation comes from trying to milk it. The lady has said thank you, leave it be.

I was at a counter in a coffee shop last year when a lady sat next to me. She was chatty and charming. Then her husband arrived and joined the conversation. He was also chatty. were they looking for a thruple?

I have told this story before, but I’m going to repeat it. We had just flew into California and landed at LAX. As I was walking past the passengers waiting for their plane, a young girl stepped in front of me and asked if that was real gold as she pointed to my name plate on my coat. I told her it was plated with gold, but had nickel underneath. Back then, United had a policy that all pilots had to wear their coat and cap when walking through the terminal.

She asked me if I recognized her and I told her I didn’t. She said she was Estelle Bennett of the singing group, “The Ronettes.” She asked if she could buy me a cup of coffee and being that I had two hours to my next flight, I accepted her offer. There was a donut shop close to where we were standing named “The Donut Hole.”

She told me she was flying to a place (that I forget) because the group was starting on a tour. (I forget how many cities.) I asked her where her cousins were and she told me they were in New York doing a talk show and that she doesn’t like doing those, so she stayed home. We had some interesting conversations. It was a fun afternoon. BTW, she told me that she really enjoyed being around Phil (Spector). I guess he wasn’t a whacko back then.
