Home stereo/audio question

Hi,
I recently bought a new amp/receiver. Problem: the ONLY speaker outlets are for "banana tip" speaker cables. MY speakers will only accept regular speaker wire. How do I adapt the "banana tip" cables to the speakers ?

2nd question: on the back of my new amp, I see "SPEAKER OUTLETS" , I also see audio in and LINE OUT. but LINE OUT does not send any signal to my speakers. VERY STRANGE ! Any thoughts on this ????
thank you

Here is how to install the plugs. You have to buy the plugs. LINE OUT is a low level signal to another device. I will not drive a speaker.

Bowmore, Thank you VERY, VERY MUCH. Your post is a HUGE help. Especially telling me about LINE OUT. I had no clue.
PS: I FINALLY found banana tip speaker cables with regular wire at one end. I got them from Amazon and I hope that will work. If not, I'll go with the video you posted.

Strange only having 'banana' outlets. Most ones I have seen have a dual purpose socket. Still, glad you got it sorted out.
One of these days I'll get a new DAB receiver as my old Technics one is FM only. Trouble is getting one with a proper 'phono' input and not USB.

I always call the manufacturer when possible when I hit a snag

I purchased my amp on Amazon and it did not say the amp was made in CHINA. Everything made in China is all fouled up.

It used to be all made in Japan. Now it's wherever is the cheapest. My Technics receiver is about 25 years old, but still working fine. The turntable is a Sony direct drive and the only part that is British are the speakers which are Bowers & Wilkins floor standing ones.
