Homemade mask ideals

A strapless, wire bra cut in half. The cup is a little large over my nose and face, 😂, but fits my husband‘s face fine. I can sew the straps, from another bra, onto my mask to keep it on my face. How safe will I be?

In a store the other day I saw an older woman wearing a bright pink hand crocheted mask. It was cute and a head-turner, but it looked like stitching was too loose to keep droplets out.
 

I'm all for it! I think more and more people will be wearing masks soon. As for safeness I think there is some there but wash it out with soap and water after you take it off.
 
Every little bit helps - at least, it would help keep you from spreading to others, should you be a symptomless victim. I was thinking of the big stack of heavy coffee filters that I bought years ago for a craft project. Also, in Ohio, the pollen season is 3 weeks ahead of the norm...I think I will try the coffee filter idea before mowing the lawn. It will be hard for people with allergies to determine if they have the virus or just an early case of allergic reactions.

OMG ….I did that the other day, fooling around when my husband came in the bedroom...I didn't cut the bra, I just asked him if I can go
out with the bra over my nose and mouth...Of course he said Yes!!!!! I didn't....
