Hot Drink Mix for Christmas
2 C butter, softened
4 1/2 C firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 T cinnamon
1 tsp each cloves, allspice, nutmeg
Cream the butter. Gradually add the sugar & spices.
Refrigerate.
Add 1 T mix and a shot of rum (spiced) and top with boiling water.
Liquor is optional. My kids had this as a treat . (Not the liquor obviously)
As with any recipe, amounts can be increased depending on flavour.
I recommend only making a quarter or half of this recipe to see if you like it.
