Hot tubs can harbor risks to your health, especially if you're older

If I remember, folks with blood sugar problems have difficulties with higher heat.

I remember, because doing a sauna was recommended to me, but I had the blood sugar issues, so I couldn't do it.

Especially if you are like Hugh Hefner & have multiple 20 something women in the tub with you :)

I am pretty sure that every straight guy on the planet is a fan of Hugh....

I mean...really? How many thousands of gals was that guy with?

I did meet one Playboy Centerfold. Long story. I was looking forward to enjoying mocking her (silently) for being as dumb as a table.

Turned out she was so incredibly nice and friendly...I felt like a complete idiot.

from what I understand...with her, it was just a top paying modeling job. I think, at the time she was up for a $30,000 contract with BMW. Just entirely a business thing with her. I think she knew that they only have a short career and, I guess, she was just going to make as much money as she could, before her body gave out...

I've met some professional models. In person, they all look pretty weirdo. Short torsos...which make their legs look longer...and all very tall, like 5' 9" and above. Kind of looked like antelopes or something. I mean plenty weird. Pretty, of course. But frankly, the ones who photograph best, don't look the best in real life.

I used to book rock bands, perform on stage...performers and models are always interacting in the same circles.

Bottom line...we are really all just people. Faces and beauty like that, only goes so far. As, apparently, good old Johnny Depp found out!!!

But shame on me for not including women hosting a hot tub party with several 20 something young men :devilish:

Especially those hot tubs at resorts and on cruise ships.....<gag> Stuff them with drunk revelers who don't want to lose their spots for "calls of nature" and you're on a slow simmer in a pot of "staph stew".

How old am I? I am this old...

when I hear "Hot tub," the first thing I think of is...."hey, that might be good for my back!!!"

well, folks...fun chatting with you all, as always.

got to run and get some things done

have a nice day

I have never understood the fascination with wanting to sit in a hot tub with other people...some may be strangers (eg: at a hotel or spa). When I watch the HGTV home buying shows, potential buyers usually get excited when they see a hot tub. I have always viewed them as breeding grounds (or waters) for infections. My body couldn't take getting into the steaming hot water anyway, so I'll never have to worry risking my health in one of those things.
